you had me at HELLO

brian is out for the night with friends, the kids are in bed and i am just having a peaceful momma night! before i came upstairs for the night i peeked in on each of my little munchkins and i find it so hard to believe how big they are all getting. it makes me sad and happy all at the same time! i miss the "littleness", yet i am so enjoying the fun we are having as they are getting a little bigger. i find it fun to say my kids are 2, 4 & 6 and that is even soon to change.

i love to look back and as i do i find myself thinking about the time i first laid eyes on each of my kids. the first thing that comes to mind is .... YOU HAD ME AT HELLO! :)

tiny little julie girl ... you are growing into such a helpful, loving, funny and most of all healthy little girl. we spent many, many days and nights praying for you and now we have been blessed to have you right where you belong! you bring me joy and a little craziness everyday ;) ... i couldn't ask for more!




my baby boy ... although i laid eyes on you the very day you were born and held you in my arms little did i know that 10 mons later you would be in my home! this is the first time i actually laid eyes on you knowing you were going to be mine!!!! YOU HAD ME AT HELLO


my baby boy ... you are growing up way too fast! you are growing up to be just like your big brother and i love that you love him soooo much. you want to dress like him, talk like him and be like him in every way. you have the sweetest little voice, best ever snuggles and i love how much you still "need" your mama! i am trying to soak in every ounce of "babyness" that is left in you because it is fading fast! :(

tomorrow is a special day for a dear friend of mine! her family will be growing through the blessing of adoption and i am blessed to be a part of it. :) little rosie (rosie roo, is what i call her!) came into foster care and actually came into our home as a foster child at 3mons old. she was a sweet pea with the most kissable little cheeks and melt your heart smile!!!! at the time we were still fostering julie and soon jonah came into our care as well .... yes i had a total of 4 kids for quite some time with jonah & rosie being the exact same ages! C R A Z I N E S S!!! haha! it was a good crazy but ..... holy cow! :)

as time went by we learned that julie & jonah's birthparents rights were terminated and we were going to get to ADOPT them ( woot woot ) so we decided to place rosie with our friend who fosters as well. everything was so up in the air with rosie and at the time it seemed as if she would return home. :( thankfully everyone's prayers were answered and she is being adopted into an absolutely amazing family!!!!

brian & i are so blessed to have been such a huge part of her life for 8 months and are still able to watch her grow!!!

sweet little girl ... you have touched so many lives and i could not be happier that you have been blessed with such an incredible family to call your own!!! we love you!!!!!

easter was a pretty great day for the shermans! time was spent with the ones we love and we wouldn't have it any other way! :) my kiddos were so good all day long and not to mention pretty darn cute! ;) heehee!!!

yes, i have been MIA from the blogging world! i have been busy i guess and just haven't sat down long enough to blog! let's see what i have been up to ....

warm weather ... i have been trying to soak in every ounce of outside time with my wee ones while the weather was nice. it seems as if this coming week will be not so nice. boo :(

a little puppy craziness ... as you all know we did get a puppy and to make a LOOONG story short my little jonah was having some asthma/allergy issues so the puppy had to go. i miss that little stinker like crazy but he went to a WONDERFUL home and i am thankful for that! :)

kitchen decisions ... we have decided to remodel our kitchen ( insert HAPPY DANCE here ) so i have been trying to make final decisions on everything. we are hoping it will be started within the month. i LOVE LOVE LOVE house projects!

shopping ... my littles have outgrown pretty much everything so we have been on some shopping sprees to build their spring/summer wardrobes.

cleaning ... spring fever is here!!!! bring on the garbage bags baby, time to declutter! the hubs and my mom especially get a kick out of this because i am not a saver. i do keep sentimental things and special things from my babes but for the most part once i am on a roll i know mr. garbage man is not my biggest fan!

so yep, that's about my life lately! i feel caught up so blogging world i am back on :)
