memorial day weekend part 2
monday we spent some time over at the neighbor's house, which just happens to be my sister & brother-in-law! ;) it was very low key and relaxing. a little baseball, grilling and some sun!!!

memorial day weekend part 1
wow ... what a fun memorial day weekend we had! it's always so nice to be able to spend time with family and we did just that! :) on sunday we headed over to my cousin's (Cedar Creek Ranch) where family and friends gathered for some good ol' fashioned fun! lots of yummy food, great music, and best of all the kids had sooo much fun! :)

a case of the mondays ...
the weekend fun is over ... it's monday
it's hard to get out of jammies ... it's monday
in julie's case, she got back into her jammies and put her shoes on (lol) whatever ... it's monday
the house seems to be a complete MESS ... it's monday
a night full of homework ... it's monday
lunch & dinner seems a disarray ... it's monday
i just can't get a hold of the day for the life of me ... it's monday
laundry is backed up from the weekend ... it's monday
early to BED for the kiddos ;) ... it's monday
and this my friends is how my little julie feels about MONDAY! a bag full of her prized possessions in hand, jammies put on after she got dressed for the day with shoes to make it complete and she just flopped in her bed any way she pleased! ;)

weekend wrap up ....
it was a low key weekend for us, nothing too exciting!
saturday i spent the day cleaning up (ugh). our kitchen demolition in underway and HOLY COW, what a mess!!!! i know i am going to love it but right now it's a plaster dust mess!!!!! brian has plastic covering the doorway but somehow that dust is seeping in! ahh, oh well! saturday night my sister and i took the kiddos to pizza house being that we were both "single" for the night. ;)
sunday the kids and i headed to church, brian was farming bright and early so we were on our own! we then hit up the store for a brand new sprinkler, it was a perfect day for it! my parents headed over to visit with the wee ones and we hung out on the deck for a few! that's about it, nothing too exciting!

to the ZOO
last week i hopped on a bus with 19 peru catholic 1st graders and headed to the zoo! i LOVE being so involved in school activities and i am so happy for every little chance i am able to spend with my kids!!!
the day at the zoo was super HOT but super fun! time really went by fast, it seemed like as soon as we got there is was almost time to come home. i didn't get many pics because ... well ... being in charge of 6/7 yr old boys is like chasing after the monkey's themselves! ;)

my life as a farmer's wife ...
it's that time of year again for our family!!
the time of year that brian is gone before we wake up and home after we go to sleep. the time of year that gets me a tad stressed out being a "single parent" for a couple of months! the time of year that i get to do all of the baths, homework, dishes, picking up, cleaning, laundry, kid activities, family gatherings, yard work, errands, grocery shopping, ect. all.by.myself. ( i know you all get the pic, it just makes me feel better to type it ALL out ... LOL ) brian is such a great dad & hubby! he puts as much work into our home and our kiddos as i do, so when he is working so much there is definitely a difference around here. the time of year when i actually pray for it to rain once in awhile ( shhhh ... don't tell the farmers i actually do that! heehee ). the time of year when i crave a few moments of kid free mommy time. the time of year when i am thankful i have such a hard working hubby that works very hard for us which in return allows me to stay at home with my wee ones!
did i ever think i would be calling myself a farmer's wife? .... uh .... nope! did i have a hard time adjusting to being a farmer's wife the last couple of years? .... uh ... YEP! i really honestly only know the basics that's for sure! i know what field he is in and when, ya know ... the important stuff. ;) i have no deep desire to get out there and run the equipment nor do i want to sport all of the john deere gear ... LOL! i will, however, be my hubby's #1 supporter and bring him dinner when requested! ;) i appreciate all that he does for us and if missing him for a couple of months is all it takes, i can handle that!!!
