tomorrow we head to chicago to spend the night and on monday morning our flight leaves for 10 wonderful days in california!!! woot woot!!!!

only words this wednesday .... people of walmart :)

ok, so i thought this would be kind of funny! a friend of mine sent me a fwd of "the people of walmart" pics and i am sure you have seen them floating around the web before. i thought to myself "i have seen some dandy's in walmart that's for sure!". i don't have pics to share (although at times i may or may not have tried to snap one with my iphone ... heehee) i can definitely write a few of them down!! :) so here we go .....

~ lady in her 70's with a cute pink shirt on top then she steps away from the cart and has on the tightest white shorts with black leopard print undies on the bottom .... sweet!

~ in front of us in the check out line a rough looking guy with a stylin' mullet has a HUGE bag of dog food, two cartons of cigs, a case of beer, one can of formula and lots of beef jerkey in his cart .... guess ya got everyone in the family covered there fella!

~ it's about 10pm and my kids are sound asleep and the hubs is home so i decide to make a quick run to walmart for a few necessities. i see a family with 5 kids, (most of which have no shirts on) one in the cart with just a diaper, the other four screaming and running around like they are at the park or something and the mom has a black, slightly ripped over-sized shirt on saying GOT BEER? paired with some lovely jean cut offs ... yep i guess you'll need a beer after shopping with 5 kids at 10pm! while you are at it, ya might want to get those black roots touched up! ;)

~ oh the cashiers, they crack me up! i shop quite a bit with my sister and it's kind of become a game of what cashier we will end up with! i tell ya, we always die laughing! this is one that really cracked us up! our cashier one particular evening was a lady that we see there quite often and there were about three other cashiers standing around having a conversation about the party they were all going to that night! i think between all of them they maybe had a full set of teeth and between all of them they had every color of the rainbow in their (unwashed) hair! anywho ... as the convo progressed the very detailed details of a sex toy party were revealed ... OMG too much info!!! my sister instantly nudged me and i could barely hold it together!!! :0

well these are just a few that come to mind ... for now anyway! i kind of feel a tad mean making fun of these people but i know you are all thinking the same thing ... LOL :) a little afternoon laugh for you! what are your people of walmart experiences???

along with work comes play

this weekend consisted of work and also play for the shermans 5 ;)

so, here is the work ...

brian spent the last few days combining wheat during the daylight hours. as i had mentioned in previous posts i really am a little clueless on details of farming and only know the basics ( LOL ). i DO know that i love how these pics turned out though! :)

and along comes play ...

we headed over to the good old oglesby days on saturday night for some fun with the kiddos! this year was great because all three of our kids were able to ride all of the little kiddie rides together! everyone was big enough and that made it all the more fun :)

my kids kept saying over and over how much fun they had at the carnival and that always makes a momma happy!!! our weekend did fly by that's for sure. we have a busy week ahead of us so monday ... BRING IT ON!

many of our summer days have been spent at the park this summer! on this particular day we decided to bring along the scooters and the kiddos had loads of fun burning off their energy :)

happy 4th of july ... part 2

on july 4th we headed to good ole' princeton with my cousin's and their families to watch the fireworks with them!

to start the day of july 3rd off we of course had to gear up in our red, white and blue ...

and then smile and look cute for this momma to snap a pic ...

after that we headed over to our friend's house where we enjoyed some food & drinks, the kids had a blast and of course the FIREWORKS began ...

and most importantly we enjoyed spending our day TOGETHER! :)
