tooth fairy :)

today was a first for the shermans 5 !!!! noah has FINALLY lost a tooth :)

my little man's teeth have been in there pretty darn solid! everyone in his class started to lose teeth in kindergarten but noah's teeth just weren't ready i guess ;) finally we noticed that he had a loose tooth a couple of weeks back and that his permanent tooth was starting to come in. he has been working on that little bugger.

today in music class ( ha! ) his little buddy told him to just "rip it out real fast!" and that's just what he did! and it didn't even hurt, he reports! his teacher hooked him up with a pretty cool little necklace to put his tooth in! :)

noah decided that he would just put his tooth in the little case and leave it on the dresser! in his words ... "i think it gives me the creeps having it under my pillow, mom!" LOL ;)

so he did just that and what do you know?!?! that tooth fairy found his tooth!! :) i think she might have left a little extra cash being that this is his very first tooth! ;)

our nights ...

the soccer season is in full swing! the majority of our nights have been spent at baker lake watching this little soccer star! :)

he absolutely loves IT! this is his 3rd yr and he has become quite the little kicker! brian & i think it's pretty funny because in Guatemala soccer is the #1 sport ... it has to be in his blood! :)

school days, school days ...

today was the first day of school for the peru catholic kids! it is so hard to believe that i have a 2nd grader and another one that started pre-school .... what?!?!?! anywho, they were both very excited and ready to go! i was a little sad to see summer come to end and a little weepy knowing my wee ones are getting to be not so "wee" anymore. i feel very fortunate that they are at a good school with a family like atmosphere, that makes a huge difference to us! so here's to a happy, healthy year of learning!

and i couldn't leave little jonah out (heehee) ...

an afternoon in the park

yesterday, we took full advantage of daddy being home! our lunch was packed so we decided to head out and enjoy the beautiful day at buffalo rock!

it was a day to spend with our littles and soak in every last drop of summer that we have left

it was a day to realize just how grateful i am that my three babes have one another to spend their lives with

it was a day that was laid back, relaxing & fun to begin the end of our summer!

yes, i am happy fall is right around the corner! it's my favorite time of the year!

no, i am not ready for school to start even though i want it to be fall.

yes, i do get sad thinking of my kids going back to school! i get that almost sick to my stomach feeling when i see school supplies start to fill up the aisles in the stores just like when i was little. :( sniff, sniff

no, i cannot believe noah will be in 2nd grade and julie will be starting pre-school!

yes, the time alone in the mornings with just mommy & jonah will be sweet.

no, i am not quite ready for harvest (the craziest time of yr for my farmer hubby) because of the single mom months. ugh

yes, i did say i do LOVE fall!!!! ;) haha!

no, the kids do not have their halloween costumes picked out.

yes, i am crazy and start thinking about it in the summer!

no, i have not thought of another house project to start yet.

yes, i still need to post pics of my kitchen ... oops!

we saved our last full day of california for disneyland!!! it was our first trip to disneyland. we have been to disneyworld in fl. a few times already and wanted to switch it up a bit!

all three of the kids were at the absolute perfect ages! watching the excitement on their faces was priceless!
