today i am asking that you pray for a family very dear to our hearts. our dear friends, matt & hannah pozzi, tragically lost their brother (hannah's brother), thomas heitmann, this past week. i am sure you have read and or seen the story on the news. he was a marine in california doing a training exercise on base when his helicopter crashed. he is originally from mendota and a graduate of st. bede.

thomas was what every parent would want their son to be. such a sweet, sweet guy with a great relationship to our GOD! his smile was definitely a million dollar smile! he comes from a family of six siblings who are beyond close. they are truly heartbroken because of this tragedy.

please take a few seconds out of your day to say a little prayer for the heitmann family as they spend this week celebrating the life of their beloved son, brother and friend.

week wrap up

well, not too incredibly much has been happening around here this week! just the normal everyday stuff! ya know ... laundry, dishes, ect...

and well, i could take some pics of that but everyone knows that's not fun! ha! so i did manage to snap a few pics of some cute little happenings from this week! ;)

my little second grader working on his homework this week! isn't he sweet?!?! it's the little things i want to remember like the way his little hand holds a pencil, his printing, his spelling, the look of concentration or maybe the look of "i'd rather be playing" LOL ....

a little arts and crafts went on this week! this is our halloween banner!! the kiddos had fun with this and yes i DID as well ;)

this week was julie's turn to be the STAR STUDENT at school! on the bulletin board are pictures of our family, her baby picture, her favorite animal (a tiger) & her favorite place (disney).

a biggie for this week was a first for julie! she started ballet and tumbling at the dance center! she love, love, LOVED it! she is one SWEET ballerina if i do say so myself! :)

so that, my bloggy friends, is the week wrap up for the shermans 5! now that brian is in full swing of working A LOT i have been a little swamped myself with everyday things! ay yi yi ;)

my sister & bro-in-law

last weekend we celebrated my sister (natalie) and bro-in-law's (andy) 1st anniversary! it's hard to believe a year has passed already! what an honor it was for all five of us to be in the wedding and share such a special and amazingly fun day!

natalie & andy are very special to us! they are not only our family but our best friends! our children love them beyond belief and the love is definitely there in return!

CHEERS to 1yr and many, many more happy yrs together!

blogger slump

i feel like i have been in a bit of a blogger slump lately! i guess it's just because my calendar has been quickly filling up with school/kid activities and i haven't had a moment to catch my breath! :0

school is in full swing which means homework is also in full swing, soccer games and practices last for about another month, dance for julie starts saturday morning, noah is now a boy scout (which is actually a lot more fun then i thought it would be) and that sure fills a calendar up!!! oh yes, i almost forgot ... brian has started the fall part of farming, harvest, which means long work hrs for him!

anywho ... i will be back with some fun pics and out of the slump soon! stay tuned! ha! :)

i have also seen A TON of things i would like for my house! these awesome wooden words seem to pop up a lot and i just happened to see a bunch of them while shopping at Gordman's! SCORE!!! i fell in love with this one!
