national adoption month

how fitting that november, the month of thanks, is also national adoption month! this month i am thankful for and celebrating the three little lives that are mine through the blessing of adoption! each one is an answered prayer!

We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life.
But those who make their journey home across time & miles,
growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them,
are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us
by God's very own hands.

another angel in heaven

rest in peace now my sweet, sweet grandma ...

our God called my grandma to be with HIM, in the comfort of his arms where there is no more pain and sickness. i am sure my grandpa was standing with arms wide open ready to greet her.

i can't even begin to describe the absolute angel my grandma truly was. sweet in every possible way. always greeted us with a smile. prayed everyday for everyone of us. raised nine 9 children in the strong catholic faith. loved all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren immensely. loved to laugh and never ever said a "bad" word and made sure anyone who did was aware of it with her little scolding. ;)

grandma, we all will miss you soo much! i am so happy i was able to spend your last days at your side. go now with grandpa and enjoy the beauty and amazement of GOD in heaven.

"be not afraid, i go before you always. come follow me and i will give you rest."

the WEEKEND ...

saturday ...

first up was a day camp for the boyscout, noah :)

yep, brian is crazy busy farming so MOMMY was able to learn how to shoot a bow and arrow along with noah ;)

getting his arrow aimed just right

he did really well and yes i had fun too

next came rockets! the boys had to make the rocket themselves before launching it

it's ALL BUSINESS this rocket stuff ... look at that serious face

they both worked like a charm and flew super duper high
saturday afternoon we finished up the soccer season! it's always kinda sad when good things come to an end but also a nice little break!

sunday ...

JOURNEY! our church has recently started a high school youth group that i have been working with. we meet once a month and the turn out of area high school kids has been great! it's soooo nice to see them wanting to grow in their faith and have fun doing it. i enjoy it as much as they do!
we start off with prayers, fun games and activities, dinner & dessert, a talk with father and end with adoration at church. then off they go with a great start to their month! i love it!

A simple, grateful thought turned heavenwards is the most perfect prayer!

prayers

hi blogger friends

today i am asking that you pray for a family very dear to our hearts. our dear friends, matt & hannah pozzi, tragically lost their brother (hannah's brother), thomas heitmann, this past week. i am sure you have read and or seen the story on the news. he was a marine in california doing a training exercise on base when his helicopter crashed. he is originally from mendota and a graduate of st. bede.

thomas was what every parent would want their son to be. such a sweet, sweet guy with a great relationship to our GOD! his smile was definitely a million dollar smile! he comes from a family of six siblings who are beyond close. they are truly heartbroken because of this tragedy.

please take a few seconds out of your day to say a little prayer for the heitmann family as they spend this week celebrating the life of their beloved son, brother and friend.

much love ...
