pinewood derby

this was definitely a first for us! noah & brian had to build a pinewood derby car for boyscouts to race!!! really i had no flippin' clue what to do or how this would all work but thankfully my hubby was a scout back in the day and knew just what to do!!! LOL  it is some serious business, that's for sure. there are all kinds of rules and regulations. the boys hit the garage and the making of the pinewood derby car began! ;)

noah had the job of sanding it after brian carved it

he had to make sure it was PERFECT

then it was time to weigh it because the whole car could not be more then 5oz

noah's paint job request was red, black and FLAMES ... heehee!

anxiously awaiting his turn
and we are at the START LINE
on your mark, get set ..... GO!!!!!!

yes!!!!! :)

my proud little scout placed 2nd!!!! and they didn't even give out a prize or ribbon to the winners after all of that work ...say what?!?!? bummer!

at the end everyone was able to race just for fun!
