1 yr ago on june 29th we were sitting in a court room at the lasalle county court house and we couldn't have been more excited!!! i took the stand first, followed by brian and then there was the sweet sound of the judge saying "i grant this adoption" and that officially made us "the shermans 5"! the adoption of julie & jonah was final! :) even though they had been with us for quite some time it was a GREAT DAY and a sigh of relief for us knowing they were officially OURS!!!!

brian & i always make our kiddo's adoption day a pretty big deal! we call it their "gotcha day" ya know, the day we officially got them. ;) it's kind of like another birthday for them with special treats because it was the day they were "born" into our family!
